The Boss is impressed.

David Lalicich, one of the Nine Riders, meets up with Lance on his ride along the Jasper Parkway and tells him about our Tour of the Rockies (September 23, 2005).

How it started

Nine friends were planning a bike tour through the Canadian Rockies—“just for fun”—when they discovered they could ride for The Lance Armstrong Foundation. Founded in 1997 by cancer survivor and cycling champion Lance Armstrong, the Lance Armstrong Foundation is a registered non-profit organization that supports cancer research and provides practical information for people living with cancer. Simply put, it's a good cause.

What we're doing

From April 29 - May 7, 2005, nine of us—including one cancer survivor—are riding the Tour of the Rockies: From Vancouver to Calgary—nearly 1100 km, including 26,000 feet of climbing—in support of the Lance Armstrong Foundation. To this end, we have joined the Lance Armstrong Foundation through its Peloton Project, a grassroots fund-raising and outreach initiative that lets companies like GPS Police do something positive while enjoying the ride.

You can help

You don't need to be cyclist to support the Lance Armstrong Foundation. You can make a small donation to this non-profit organization online.
